At the core of this unveiling are new next-generation mid-range and high-end firewalls (NGFW) built for medium-sized businesses with embedded advanced threat protection.

These new offerings include Managed Protection Security Services (MPSS) Firewall Management with 24/7 monitoring that allows MSPs of any size to offer managed firewall services backed by SonicWall’s SonicSentry Network Operations Center (NOC) team. Delivered through the unified, cloud-native SonicPlatform, the service establishes a new industry standard by dramatically reducing cyber exposure, simplifying operations, and maximizing visibility, all backed by expert, always-on security teams and reinforced by a groundbreaking cyber warranty.

“SonicWall’s new standard for cybersecurity marks a pivotal moment in our evolution as an innovator expanding into a platform-based cybersecurity leader,” said SonicWall President and CEO Bob VanKirk. “As we continue to listen to our partners and evolve with their changing needs, we are consolidating fragmented tools into one secure, scalable, and smart platform. With this launch, we are bringing together industry-leading firewall threat performance, cloud-based ZTNA to replace legacy VPNs, co-managed NOC and SOC services and an industry-first cybersecurity warranty so MSPs have every tool they need to ensure the businesses they serve are safe in a scalable and cost-effective way.”

SonicWall is bringing together the tools MSPs need to deliver layered, AI-driven security, from next-generation firewalls and endpoint protection to secure remote access and advanced policy control, managed in one intuitive interface. Designed to eliminate fragmented tools and reduce operational complexity, SonicWall is making it easier than ever for MSPs to offer secure, scalable and smart solutions:

  • Secure:
    • Gen 8 Firewalls (NSa 2800/3800): Mid-enterprise, high-performance NGFW built for more demanding SMB environments with advanced threat protection.
    • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): Raising the bar relative to implementation and ease of use with a one-click ZTNA connector for secure, simple, policy-based access with dramatically improved network performance and security versus legacy VPN.
    • Managed Protection Security Services (MPSS): Backed by the SonicSentry NOC team, the new MPSS bundle extends our partner’s bench with a team of network security professionals to ensure firewalls are configured, deployed and updated correctly to provide the best threat protection possible. MPSS is a must-have service from SonicWall that will fast become the industry standard for firewall management.
  • Scalable:
    • NSM 3.0: SaaS and on-premises platform offering unparalleled visibility and efficiency with harmonized cloud/on-box management.
  • Smart:
    • SonicPlatform: A unified, cloud-native platform for centralizing management of all SonicWall appliances, services, and third-party integrations.
    • SonicWall AI for Monitoring & Insight (SAMI): Embedded AI/automation to streamline management, speed resolution, and reduce alert fatigue.

“Over the past two years, we’ve focused on listening to our partners and addressing their challenges as cyberattacks accelerate, response times lag and cybersecurity solutions grow increasingly complex,” said SonicWall Chief Product Officer Peter Burke. “As a result, we have dramatically improved the features and scalability of our firewall management platform and integrated them into a unified platform for account, security and network management that should simplify use and make partners more efficient. By consolidating end-to-end management and delivering key capabilities for scale and security, we’re empowering partners to focus on growth, expanding their services, increasing profitability, and delivering greater value to their customers.”

The launch includes enhanced support through SonicSentry, SonicWall’s global Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) team, and MPSS. Built for MSPs, these co-managed services allow them to profitably deepen their bench and extend their service capabilities with 24×7 monitoring, health checks, patch management, and optimized firewall deployment.

Security is no longer just about protection; it’s about trust and resilience. When combined with SonicWall’s partnership with Cysurance, SonicWall deployments can qualify for a tiered cyber warranty of up to $1 million, the industry’s first offering of its kind. Managed deployments through MPSS double the coverage for participating customers.

“SonicWall’s MPSS will allow MSPs to deliver top-tier security to customers without the burden of constant firewall management,” said Meriplex Channel Manager Greg Starr. “By offloading the complexities of firewall management, SonicWall partners will be able to deliver premium security services backed by 24/7 expert support and enhanced cyber warranty protection. This not only strengthens client trust but also opens new revenue opportunities for us as a partner, allowing us to scale and grow more efficiently.”

SonicWall’s next-generation solutions are designed with the unique needs of MSPs in mind:

  1. Multi-Tenant Architecture: Manage multiple clients efficiently through one platform.
  2. Flexible Subscription Licensing: Monthly/annual options support the MSSP model.
  3. Ecosystem Integration: Seamless third-party integrations for operational efficiency.
  4. End-to-End Coverage: From endpoint to edge, SonicWall delivers centralized protection and compliance.

“The Middle East, Turkey, and Africa region faces unique cybersecurity challenges as digital transformation accelerates across our diverse markets,” said Mohamed Abdallah, Regional Director META at SonicWall. “Our new solutions empower regional MSPs to deliver enterprise-grade protection while reducing complexity and operational overhead. The MPSS offering is particularly valuable for our partners who need to scale securely while maintaining profitability. With SonicWall’s unified platform approach and co-managed services, we’re enabling our META partners to stay ahead of evolving threats while focusing on business growth.”

Here’s How MSPs Can Turn the Rising Ransomware Threat into Revenue https://securityreviewmag.com/?p=23836 Mon, 14 Feb 2022 15:36:10 +0000 https://securityreviewmag.com/?p=23836

Cybercrime is a booming business, inflicting damage to businesses estimated at $3 trillion per year and growing to $5 trillion by 2024, according to a report by Juniper Research. Cyberattacks are a costly business nightmare, resulting in profit-sapping downtime, lost revenues, brand damage, stock price losses, and regulatory fines.

The Acronis Cyber Readiness Report, which surveyed 3,400 IT managers and remote workers around the world in order to evaluate their cyber readiness before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, found that 31% of companies around the world are attacked at least once a day and that 50% of all respondents report encountering a cyberattack at least once a week during the past three months. Meanwhile, various researchers concluded that downtime costs can range from $10,000 per hour to as much as $260,000 per hour.

It’s no wonder that business and IT leaders worry that an attack could take down their company next – and their careers along with it. Download this whitepaper to find out how you can boost your business with cyber protection services!

Kaspersky Updates its License Management Portal 2.0 for Channel Partners https://securityreviewmag.com/?p=22900 Mon, 30 Aug 2021 16:08:50 +0000 https://securityreviewmag.com/?p=22900 The Kaspersky License Management Portal (LMP) — which enables managed service providers (MSPs) to order and manage Kaspersky product licenses — has updated its capabilities to include regular license ordering. The process of renewals and new license ordering for partners and distributors is now automated and can be done in a few clicks instead of email correspondence taking hours or even days. A new step-by-step product configurator also significantly simplifies the selection of suitable Kaspersky offerings.

Ease of doing business is an important consideration that partners look for when choosing vendors to work with. In fact, almost half of resellers in the US (45%) named it as their top benefit. This can be made up of various factors, one of which is the usability of the vendor’s partner tools – including the portal, program, procurement process, etc. The fewer steps required in the process, the more the partner will be able to focus on the development of their business and sales. And this is ultimately beneficial to both parties.

Thanks to the update, Kaspersky’s partners that use regular (annual, non-subscription) licenses can now use LMP for deal registration, renewals, and placing new orders. For all these scenarios, the portal suggests a native experience with minimum actions, such as choosing required products from a configurator and making an order by clicking one button. As soon as the request is approved and licenses delivered, the partner receives an email notification to the address provided during the submission. No additional communication with the distributor or vendor is required – the approval process is fully automated and handled by the portal.

A new configurator also enables a more convenient process for selecting products to order. Partners can follow a step-by-step process to choose and build a bundle of different products and services which can both fit together perfectly and increase the value of Kaspersky protection for customers. The updated LMP also simplifies the experience for distributors.

While their role remains the same – helping partners with sales expertise, development and financial programs – they can save time on routine approvals, focusing on developing their business. Instead of creating and confirming orders in the vendor’s order management tool, distributors need just one click to confirm order placement via the LMP after checking the partner’s financial terms. The dashboard provides all necessary information about orders from a particular partner as well as the ability to contact Kaspersky or the partner if needed.

“We want our partners to be successful, which is why we make it as easy as possible to do business with us. With updates to the License Management Portal, we aim to improve our partners’ experience when it comes to order placement,” comments Kirill Astrakhan, Global Head of Channel, Kaspersky. “The updated LMP is deeply integrated with Kaspersky’s United Partner Portal and allows our partners to instantly place an order for any B2B product, including expiring renewals and approved deal registrations, in just a few clicks. Alongside the LMP, we have also released an update for deal registration which increases the value of Kaspersky security products by offering properly configured product bundles to customers.”

Acronis Offers No-Cost Version of Cyber Protect Cloud to MSPs https://securityreviewmag.com/?p=21383 Sun, 11 Apr 2021 14:22:14 +0000 http://www.arabianreseller.com/?p=21383 As part of its 2021 Cyber Protection Week activities, Acronis has unveiled a new, no-cost version of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The new licensing makes it more profitable for service providers to design and offer a comprehensive cyber protection services portfolio with little to no upfront costs. With this announcement, the company’s current Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud will be extended with cyber protection capabilities – including the company’s best-of-breed backup, award-winning anti-malware, and protection management – and renamed Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.

“Using separate tools to address different IT requirements and counter cyberthreats is a complicated, inefficient, and costly way for service providers to operate,” said Serguei “SB” Beloussov, Founder and CEO of Acronis. “By unifying data protection, cybersecurity, and protection management in one, any service provider can eliminate the complexity and management headaches while improving security. With this new licensing model for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, our partners can deliver superior cyber protection services to their clients at little to no upfront cost.”

Featuring a set of essential cyber protection capabilities included at no cost or on a pay-as-you-go basis, the new version of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud enables MSPs to build services at little to no upfront expense, ensuring 100% coverage of clients’ workloads with cyber protection. MSPs can also expand their service portfolio to meet client requirements and market demand with advanced protection packs that extend their capabilities. By adding advanced protection packs such as Advanced Backup, Advanced Security, Advanced Disaster Recovery, and Advanced Management onto Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, MSPs gain the flexibility to expand and customize their services to deliver the optimum level of cyber protection for each client and every workload.

Installed with one agent and managed through one console, the centralized management of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud ensures MSPs can fully protect their clients without having to juggle multiple solutions. A single pane of glass provides the visibility and control needed to deliver comprehensive cyber protection – from creating local and cloud-based backups to stopping zero-day malware attacks with advanced AI-based anti-malware and antivirus defenses that are VB100 certified.

“Acronis’ new pricing and licensing model is in fact an easier and more profitable remedy, to help service providers in delivering a complete and comprehensive cyber protection solution to their end customers. Acronis’ service providers and MSP that are constantly looking at eliminating complexity, handling end-customers objections or pitching a value proposition, will find the new pricing and subscriptions more profitable and focused on customers’ needs. The BPS team is always available to assist service providers in addressing their market” said Mrs Ange Bou Chaaya – Sales Manager at BPS Middle East FZ LLC

Proving the power of integration
The announcement comes as Acronis announced the findings of its annual 2021 Cyber Protection Week survey, which surveyed 4,400 IT users and IT pros from around the world. One of the key findings was that more solutions does not mean more protection – 80% of organizations now run as many as 10 solutions simultaneously for their data protection and cybersecurity needs, yet more than half of those organizations suffered unexpected downtime last year because of data loss.

Acronis has long recognized the cost, efficiency, and security challenges that arise from deploying multiple solutions, which is why the company pioneered the field of cyber protection, integrating cutting-edge cybersecurity, best-of-breed backup, and protection management in a single solution. To ensure service providers can build their cyber protection service easily, efficiently, securely, and profitably, Acronis’ new licensing model is effective March 31.
