The Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera set-up is easy – customers can first download the free Ring app on their iOS or Android devices and create an account. The app then guides them through a three-stage set-up process – including:

1. Opening the Ring app, selecting ‘Set Up a Device’, tapping Cameras
2. Finding and scanning the QR Code on the box
3. Following the in-app instructions to complete the setup

Customers can set customisable motion zones to define a specific area that they want their Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area, enabling them to effectively monitor the area they want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alerts. It also comes equipped with a manual Privacy Cover in front of the camera lens, which can turn the camera and microphone on or off.

Customers can add the Ring skill to Alexa via the Alexa app and just say, “Alexa, show me the living room,” to see Live View and begin speaking with people in that room, as long as the privacy cover is not in use. Customers may also opt for a Ring Protect subscription, which allows them to store and access recordings in the cloud, share videos, and receive motion notifications with a photo preview directly in the app notification. For extra peace of mind, clips are erased at the end of the selected storage period, which is 180 days.

Ring has also launched two new earth tone colours for their Indoor Camera with Privacy Shutter: Blush for bright, airy spaces, and Starlight with a neutral tone that fits any space. The Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera will retail in the UAE from 25 September at AED 299.

Radar-powered 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s Eye View and Bird’s Eye Zones allows customers to get an aerial perspective to pinpoint and receive alerts only when movement is detected in specific areas, providing precise information for each motion event. One of the key features of Battery Video Doorbell Pro is its image quality, which goes beyond 1536p HD video. Dynamic Image processing and high-efficiency compression ensure that the video delivers lifelike colour and sharpness, whether watching in Live View or reviewing a recording. We’ve just launched new features for our Ring Protect Plus subscription. Available on the Ring app, Ring Protect Plus can be used to cover multiple devices, and subscribers can avail of exclusive features such as Live View Picture-in-Picture, Multi-Cam Live View, and Snapshot Capture Plus. Customers can gain insights into activating, viewing, deleting, and downloading snapshots, along with adjusting snapshot frequency.

The recently added Enhanced Notifications allows customers to customize and keep up with what is happening at their home, and with Priority Alerts, they can receive alerts when their mobile device is in Do Not Disturb mode or a Focus and/or to override settings like Alerts Snooze and Motion Schedules. Additionally, the Event Summary feature in Enhanced Notifications allows them to see a daily digest of all the events and recordings at their location.

However, Ring also offers a Ring Protect Basic plan that covers one Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera at a single location. With both Basic and Plus subscription plans, customers can also save, share, and download video recordings of any detected events in their account for up to 180 days. How does Ring prioritize user privacy while maintaining safety and security functionalities?

Can you share some unconventional scenarios where Ring’s devices have been creatively used?
We’ve noticed a lot of pet owners using Ring devices to keep an eye on their furry friends. Indoor cameras can capture special moments with pets, with features like Two-Way Talk and Color Night Vision, that allow owners to see and communicate with them when it matters most.

A battery-powered Stick Up Cam can go almost anywhere, like inside a doghouse, so owners can check in on Live View to see how they’re doing. Outdoor cameras from Ring can also help pet owners keep an eye on their pets if they’re playing outside while they’re indoors. Floodlight and Spotlight Cams can provide a wider view of the backyard, and their built-in motion-activated lighting can come in handy for pets at night by providing a temporary bright light when they walk by and automatically turn off when they’re back inside.

Saudi Arabia is an important point of focus for Ring, given the country’s commitment towards technological advancement and the rise in the adoption of connected smart home devices. Visitors will also get hands-on experience with Ring Alarm, a DIY home security system with smart motion-detection sensors that alert homeowners with real-time notifications.  Customers can equip their Ring Alarm with separate accessories such as outdoor contact sensors, panic buttons, and glass break sensors. For whole-home security, Ring Alarm can be linked to existing Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras in the Ring app, so that when the Alarm is triggered, it automatically activates all Ring cameras to begin capturing video, even if they do not detect motion.

Indoor Camera (2^nd Gen) is a compact, indoor-only camera that brings customers all the benefits of the first generation Indoor Cam, such as Two-Way Talk, 1080p HD Video, Live View, Customizable Motion and Privacy Zones, now with enhanced features like Colour Night Vision and an upgraded design. With the new privacy cover, customers can have greater control over what their device captures. When the privacy cover is moved in front of the camera lens, Indoor Camera’s microphone and camera will turn off.

Customers can reactivate video and audio capture by moving the Privacy Cover to the side and, if in doubt, they can check the status of their camera in the Ring app. A blue LED indicator light will glow when Indoor Camera (2^nd Gen) is capturing video or when night vision has been activated. Automatic Light Sensing allows Indoor Camera (2^nd Gen) to know when the lighting has dimmed enough to automatically activate the night vision feature.
